  • Introduction

    Soil salinization and alkalization is a global problem, which has a negative impact on the agricultural productivity and sustainability. As a result of this processes, the chemical and physical properties of soil are worsening to such an extent that it threatens the integrity of the self-regulating potential of the soil. Soil salinization and alkalization is a dynamic process and is spread globally over in 100 countries. The area of saline and alkaline soils in the world is 932.2 mill. ha, including 351 saline and 581.0 mill. ha alkaline (Abrol et al., 1988; Szabolcs, 1989; Massoud, 1977).
    Continuous increasing the area of saline and alkaline soils shows that there is no cost-effective reasonable technologies for the reclamation of these soils.
    Many scientific works are devoted to study of properties of saline or alkaline soils, but the assessment of the ameliorative state and reclamation of saline-alkaline soils are poorly illuminated. The work will illuminate the peculiarities of some physical properties, the assessment of ameliorative state, the classification according to tsensitivity of agricultural culture of saline-alkaline soils. The reclamation of saline-alkaline soils using the modern methods of physical action for accelerating the process of desalination and dealkalization: water - mechanical oscillations, water-gas, water-electric current, etc.
    The purpose of these publications is to help the professionals to understand the properties of saline-alkaline soils moreover and to implement the results in the development of these soils.

  • Guidelines for Submission

    Manuscripts can be submitted until the expiry of the deadline. Submissions must be previously unpublished and may not be under consideration elsewhere.
